Back 4 Blood review

Back 4 Blood is an online multiplayer, first-person shooter and survival horror game developed by Turtle Rock Studios and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. It was released on October 12, 2021, for Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.

Gameplay

Back 4 Blood has four game modes which consist of Player Versus Environment (PVE) game modes where players join a four person team of post-apocalypse survivors called Cleaners, who must fight their way through levels populated by zombie-like monsters called The Ridden, and Player Versus Player (PVP) game modes where players form two teams of four, with each team assuming the role of Cleaners. There are also two more game modes called Swarm and Versus, which are both available only on PC.

The gameplay is very similar to the original Left 4 Dead series, with players who must work together to kill enemies and complete objectives. The game features a card deck system which allows players and the Game Director to select gameplay modifiers which make the Cleaners stronger and the Ridden more dangerous as players advance from level to level. The game features a large number of upgradable items and weapons.

Graphics

The graphics in Back 4 Blood are very similar to the original Left 4 Dead series, with a similar visual style and similar level of detail. The game is a first-person shooter, and the graphics were developed with the Unreal Engine 4.
